Inter-Agency Street Surgeries

You may be aware of a new on-going initiative called Inter-Agency Street Surgeries that are being carried out in the GDP area to address crime and anti- social behaviour (including environmental crime).   It is an opportunity for residents to talk directly to representatives from the Police, GDP, Cross Keys Homes, City Council and local Ward councillors to raise issues and concerns important to you.

The agencies simply door knock for up to an hour on a particular street which are selected because of matters of concern brought to their attention.  A card will be left with absent residents providing an opportunity to feedback information separately if preferred.

This activity will happen one day each month with a surgery in each of the following areas: park ward, north ward, old Dogsthorpe & the Welland estate.

The next Street Surgeries will take place on Thursday 8th January 2009 at the venues listed below:

1100 - 1200: Redmile Walk ( Welland )

1215 - 1315: Sycamore Avenue ( Dogsthorpe )

1430 - 1530: Burmer Road ( New England )

1545 - 1645: Century Square ( Park )

Additional information on the streets to be covered will be available nearer the time.
