Youth Forum
Working in partnership with Connexions Young People Service to develop a youth forum, which is representative of the GDP area, which will then lead to the election of a young person to the GDP board.

Charteris Centre
Develop the unused section of the Charteris Centre to become a safe hub for young people aged 13-19 years.

Youth Shelters
Research has shown that youth shelters are successful if situated in well lit, open areas. Residents have expressed some concerns about having youth shelters in the four main parks.  GDP is likely to commission a feasibility report to evidence their success, demonstrate links to community safety issues and act as a tool to aid funding raising.

Healthy Young People Advice Centre (HYPA)
Drop in session at Neighbourhood Management Centre (NMC) for young people to receive advice and support on healthy lifestyles: sexual health & substance use

Sports Initiatives for C&YP
Support the development of the initial WRA initiative and link to other activities in areas to maximise potential and facilitate new local networking opportunities in this field 

St Theresa’s Family
Shortfall in annual funding covered by GDP.  On-going support provided by GDP to develop and promote Family Centre

Welland Primary School
Following development of new home economics area; GDP to promote useage and ensure school linked to other initiatives such as Olive Road Community Allotment and ‘Cooking on a Budget’

Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) Interventions
Support the development of a local initiative to address the reduction of NEET young people in the area, by coordinating partnership activities.

Teenage Pregnancy Interventions
Activity yet to be identified Support the development of a local initiative to address the reduction of teenage pregnancies in the area, by coordinating partnership activities.

Youth Drop-In (Blue Mobile)
The Blue Mobile (Normanton Road/Redmile Walk) is open for the over 13’s on Saturdays from 11am – 5pm.  Ongoing support provided by GDP through the facilitation of a management structure.

Scout Hut Developments
Support local stakeholders to renovate this historic building and develop it’s use for the benefit of the wider community

Youth Consultation
Generate opportunities to increase effective engagement with young people

Mind Exercise, Nutrition – Do it! (MEND)
Supporting the health service to deliver a 2 year programme to tackle childhood obesity in the GDP area.
