About Us

In April 2006, the Greater Dogsthorpe Partnership was awarded £1.6million of Government money to help improve the whole neighbourhood area. The work is being overseen by the Greater Dogsthorpe Partnership Board which is made up of local residents, local ward councillors, and other organisations working in the community.

Working closely with residents, councillors, the public, voluntary and private sectors we aim to improve and enhance all aspects of life for local people. We plan to achieve this by introducing something called Neighbourhood Management in your area.  Our top priorities include community safety, tackling anti social behaviour, health provision, services for young people, families and older people, environmental issues, housing, employment and education.

In response to the results of a survey carried out in early 2006 as well as working with our partners, we devised four target areas to help tackle the areas of concern. This has meant that four sub groups have been devised to engage in the GDP area and challenge the concerns with a more in-depth approach.

During 2008, we aim to become a Development Trust. Click here for more information.
